During my time as a pre-medical student I spent a lot of time exploring various parts of the healthcare world. From scribing to billing to being a personal assistant for a physician. However, none of those experiences compare to my time as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. The most enriching experience was when I was working a Lionel Richie concert and a lady went into Cardiac Arrest. With her family watching my partners and I were able to maintain high quality CPR until the local EMS showed up. Upon exiting the arena her heart was beating on it's own. She is now alive and living a happy life. It is moments like this I would like to recreate everyday.
